The Instructor, Saturday 21st October, Caulfield, Race 1:
As you can see, I’m really excited about a number of our chances this weekend and probably could add more to this list. In an attempt to not ramble on too much, these are the highlights, and I’ve chosen The Instructor as he ticks every box. He’s extremely well weighted under the set weights and penalties conditions, i.e. if this was a handicap, he would be carrying a lot more weight than these so he should have a lot in hand. He’s in form as a last start winner, he’s proven at the grade and higher, and won over the distance last time. He races his own age group and with Jordan Childs being suspended earlier this week, we have a terrific replacement in Tim Clark who knows exactly how our horses should be ridden. Improvers aside, on paper The Instructor has to be the one to beat.
