Click 'play' below to hear Adrian kick off this week's show talking about the thrill of winning Saturday's $150k Rockhampton Cup with our "Cup King" Regal Stage who supplemented his wins in the Snake Gully Cup and Mudgee Cup with another determined effort.

Moving onto this weekend's runners, SURF DANCER makes his Australian debut at Randwick on Saturday in the Benchmark 88 Handicap over 1400 metres. He was a Listed race winner in the U.K. before coming Down Under, and he's now had a year to settle in and acclimatise. He handled the wet tracks without a problem in his trials, and whilst he'll no doubt improve a lot for the run we're confident of a big performance.

On the same card, First Light Racing's VRENELI & Dynamic Syndications' YARDSTICK potentially reoppose in the 3 Year Old Benchmark 72 Handicap over 1200 metres. They've each taken huge benefit from their first-up runs, and they'll appreciate stretching out over some more ground. FORTUNE SEEKER is a possible for the same race, and she also holds an entry in the Fillies & Mares Benchmark 78 Handicap over 1400 metres later on in the card. She ran a huge race to finish third when first-up at Warwick Farm over an inadequate 1100 metres, and she will surely have a huge chance in whichever race she contests.

NAVY CROSS is getting out over a suitable trip for the first time this preparation in the 3 & 4 Year Old Benchmark 78 Handicap over 1800 metres. Regan Bayliss gets the leg up for the first time, and this son of I Am Invincible looks ready to peak now third-up.

Looking to the provincials, ALL THAT SASS, SALEM & SARANDOS all hold entries between them at Goulburn and Scone, but with new COVID restrictions these might have to be rejigged.

Down in Victoria, SOCIAL ELEMENT bids to make it a hattrick of wins over the steeples in Sunday's $100k Moss Trooper over 3500 metres at Pakenham. He's been a revelation this preparation and he stays all day long, so we're very hopeful that he can take this step up in class in his stride. LAMA wasn't seen to best effect when first-up on the polytrack, so with that run under his belt we are sure he can put up a more forward showing at Echuca.
