Everyone loves Ice Creme and so did all the jockeys when she flew over 600m with partner Meditation (Elusive Quality). Ice Creme is regally bred being a half-sister to Group 1 winner Ike's Dream by Encosta De Lago. Unlike most by her sire she is not big and bay, rather a big bold chestnut with plenty of white. She heads towards a trial soon so keep an eye on her. Really Vexing (Charge Forward), owned by international breeder Paul Makin, worked with Fictional Romance (Don Eduardo) and both very similar style fillies with lovely ability. Mark gave the thumbs up to Dal Dal (Encosta De Lago) and Blake commented that Actrice (Elvstroem) was impressive. She has certainly come of age in her past couple of gallops. Up until now she has been a lemon but she has blossomed and on Tuesday's trials at Warwick Farm she will move to centre stage. She's a Sure Thing (Not a Single Doubt) will be that when she races next week. This daughter of Arrowfield's Not a Single Doubt who stands for $13,750 is above average but no buyers thought that at Magic Millions in 2009. All the experts put their line through her as, like Dr Percy Sykes commented, she is weak in the hocks. I said to Percy, "but she gallops pretty good Perce". Arrowfield's Operations Manager Sam Fairgray had confidence in the smart filly who he had watched from birth and he thought she was one of the best of the sale. His jaw dropped when she made very little ($45,000) so he and a group of buddies from Arrowfield came together to race the filly. Mikoyan was in full bloom when he galloped over 800m with Neil. This massive son of Glenlogan's Jet Spur who stands for $17,500 was most dominant finding the line. Nash said his bestwas Manahara (More Than Ready) who resumes at Canterbury next Wednesday after winning his trial impressively. Steve and Alex liked Bis Kho Cho (Don Eduardo) and Live and Learn (Encosta De Lago), both of whom were bred at Gooree and both great types Ganda (Encosta De Lago), Electrical (Redoute's Choice), and Shakira Morn (More Than Ready) were a great trio these nicely bred fillies whose owners can look forward to great times in the next few weeks. I was asked by Michael Kirwan what I thought of the Holy Roman Emperor's I have in the yard. I told him I could not be more impressed. They have size, strength and lovely bone and so far they are giving me plenty. I cannot see why they wouldn't be winning races in the spring. Denise has a particularly sharp colt out of Nellie De Air, he has real presence and really catches the eye.
