SATURDAY 13TH APRIL - RANDWICKRail Position: RAIL - +4m 1400m-W/Post, +3m RemainderKILLCARE BEACHGIRL (Race 1, 11.45pm, 1600m, S Clipperton, 55kg)Killcare Beachgirl gave us all such a thrill when winning so impressively on debut. She showed a terrific attitude and hasn’t missed a beat since, so the experience has done her the world of good. We expect the step up in distance to 1600 metres to bring about further improvement, and she has been training nicely ahead of this intended assignment. Sam will be positive from barrier 1 to roll forward and try to take luck out of the equation, and there doesn’t look to be too much pressure in the race so she should hopefully be able to control the tempo to suit herself. This looks to be a competitive race on paper, but she is an exciting filly and we are hopeful that she can strike gold and gain some valuable Black Type for you.THE THREE HUNDRED (Race 1, 11.45pm, 1600m, R Bayliss, 57kg)The Three Hundred ran a terrific race in his most recent outing at Warwick Farm. He was most unlucky to be beaten, and he very much deserves to get into the Winner’s Circle. He has taken great confidence from that run and his trackwork has been very pleasing since, so he's holding his form really well. He is a very professional colt who is thriving on his racing this time in, and he looks terrific at present. The step up to 1600 metres is unknown territory, but he saw out a strong 1300 metres last time and we're hopeful that it can bring about that extra length of improvement that is required to break his maiden tag at this level. He has the gate speed to roll forward from barrier 11 and the naturally steadier tempo of this longer race should enable him to slot in and find a position a pair back from the leaders if they kick up to his inside. This is a competitive race on paper, but he’s a gutsy colt who will love the drying track and we expect him to be fighting out the finish.BUTCH CASSIDY (Race 2, 12.20pm, 1400m, M Zhara, 60kg)Butch Cassidy ran a very creditable race first-up at Rosehill and wasn’t beaten far on the line against several older, more seasoned campaigners. He has taken plenty of benefit from the run, and we were delighted with his gallop on Tuesday morning so he is open to plenty of improvement second-up. He's returning to race against his own age group which is a big positive, and Mark will be positive from barrier 9 to get him rolling along into a prominent position, on or just behind the speed. This is a competitive race on paper, but he’s in terrific order and we expect him to be challenging at the finish.KAIZAD (Race 2, 12.20pm, 1400m, T Clark, 58kg)Kaized ran a very promising race first-up over a trip short of his best. He has taken nice improvement in his track work since and appears to be sharper and tighter in condition. The step up to 1400 metres is a huge positive, and he's drawn to do no work from barrier 1 so Tim will be positive from here to make the most of it and try and take luck out of the equation. It's a very competitive race with plenty of depth to it, but he’s open to improvement second-up and with even luck in running we expect him to give them all something to chase.LADY OF CAMELOT (Race 4, 1.30pm, 1200m, B Shinn, 59kg)Lady Of Camelot gave us all the ultimate thrill when winning the crown jewel of two year old racing in Australia, the Group 1 Golden Slipper. She sliced through the field down the straight and powered to the line to win in decisive fashion against a number of highly touted rivals. It was an excellent performance, and the race replay has been watched countless times since. She’s come through the run in wonderful order and missing last week's race and going three weeks between runs hasn't done her any harm whatsoever. Barrier 13 is slightly tricky, as even if she jumps well her rivals are sure to kick up to her inside and make life tough for her. Blake is a world class rider though, and his judgment is second to none so he will get her into the best possible position and we know she doesn't need to lead to win which adds confidence. She’s carrying a penalty and must concede weight to all her rivals, many of whom have proven they're talented and others that are potential big improvers. However, she has the strongest form in the book and she's an outstanding filly so if she gets even luck in running it will take something special to run her down here.TOO DARN LIZZIE (Race 4, 1.30pm, 1200m, T Clark, 54kg)Too Darn Lizzie is in super shape ahead tomorrow's race. We were delighted with her most recent trial at Newcastle, and it's kept her fitness ticking over between runs. We were very pleased with her most recent gallop on Tuesday morning, and she looks terrific at present. She has drawn wide in barrier 12 which isn't ideal, but Tim will be positive from there to get her rolling along into a position where she can get into a comfortable rhythm. This is a million dollar race so as you'd expect it's extremely competitive, but she's a talented filly and with even luck in running she should be right there at the finish to hopefully gain some further valuable Black Type.RED RESISTANCE (Race 5, 2.05pm, 1200m, N Rawiller, 56.5kg)Red Resistance looks excellent ahead of this intended assignment. It was very frustrating that he missed his last intended start at the barriers but he has schooled through them since here at Randwick without issue. He is now five weeks between runs which is not our usual preference. however this has enabled us to freshen him up nicely which could prove to be an advantage, and we were delighted with his jumpout in-between runs. He has the addition of pre-race ear muffs, and he will have a pony in the yard here to help keep his energy levels down prior to the start. Nash will be positive from barrier 15 to try and take luck out of the equation, and if he can be more tractable in the early stages and settle into a nice rhythm he should be challenging at the finish.THE INSTRUCTOR (Race 5, 2.05pm, 1200m, A Hyeronimus, 56.5kg)The Instructor is in fantastic shape ahead of his return tomorrow. He is thriving at present and firing on all cylinders, so we can't wait to see him back at the races. We have been extremely pleased with his two trials this time in at Hawkesbury and Randwick, and they've given him a good fitness foundation for this first-up assignment. He's drawn wide in barrier 11 and there's plenty of speed around him, so it's likely he'll go forward to settle just in behind the leaders but Adam will adapt if needs be and let him land where he's comfortable. He's resuming in an extremely tough race and against race fit horses so he's slightly vulnerable, but he's a talented gelding with a terrific attitude who's sharp enough to do himself justice.THE NOVELSIT (Race 5, 2.05pm, 1200m, A Hyeronimus, 56.5kg)The Novelist is in excellent order ahead of Saturday’s contest. He ran a terrific race first-up this campaign when showing plenty of tactical speed after his long lay-off, and he was unlucky to get reeled in late in the piece. He battled on gamely under pressure and wasn’t beaten far at the line, and it was fantastic to see him measure up at that level. He has taken plenty of improvement from the run as you'd expect after such a long layoff, an we were delighted with his gallop on Tuesday morning. We know he's got electric gate speed so Tim will be positive from barrier 8 to try and take luck out of the equation again, and he’s a quality colt so he’ll give them all something to catch in this valuable contest.MAJOR BEEL (Race 7, 3.15pm, 3200m, L Beuzelin, 51.5kg)Major Beel ran a terrific race in his most recent outing at Flemington two weeks ago. He got into a lovely rhythm in the lead and we thought he had pinched the race at the top of the straight when he pulled a couple of lengths clear of the field, so it was heartbreaking when he was run down in the shadows of the post to finish in fourth place. However, it was an excellent performance and he showed us he retains all his ability, so he packed his bags and came back to Sydney for this contest. He's drawn to do no work from barrier 3 and he likes to race on pace, so Louis will roll forward to make his own luck from the front. He's stepping up to 3200 metres so he needs to relax and not overdo it in the middle stages to give him every chance of hitting the line strongly, but with just 51.5kg on his back he will be extremely hard to run down.MILITARY MISSION (Race 7, 3.15pm, 3200m, A Hyeronimus, 56.5kg)Military Mission ran another solid race at Rosehill two weeks ago. He battled gamely down the straight yet again and wasn’t beaten far at the line, and he's acquitted himself very creditably in two top-class weight for age races this preparation. He's back to handicap conditions here, so whilst he has top weight it isn't quite as demanding and the weights are quite compressed with just 5kg spanning the field. His only previous attempt at 3200 metres was in the Melbourne Cup, so we're looking forward to seeing him over the trip again and it might just bring about that extra length of improvement that is required to get him back into the Winner's Circle. He's drawn wide in barrier 17 but he's not a natural leader so it doesn't concern us, and Adam knows him well so he'll settle him where he's comfortable. This is a competitive race, but he’s in fantastic order and we expect him to be challenging at the finish.SERPENTINE (Race 7, 3.15pm, 3200m, T Clark, 53.5kg)Serpentine has been in tremendous form so far this preparation and ran another excellent race at Rosehill to battle gamely down the straight and win in tenacious style two weeks ago. He hasn’t missed a beat since and is maintaining his condition extremely well. He rises in grade to Group 1 level here but is in excellent order and has been showing all the right signs that he is more than capable of handling the challenge. Tim will be positive from barrier 4 to roll forward and try to take luck out of the equation, and there doesn’t look to be too much pressure in the race so he should hopefully be able to control the tempo to suit himself. This looks a competitive renewal on paper, but he’s a joy to train and we are hopeful that he can strike again to roll back the years and claim another Grade 1 victory.OSMOSE (Race 9, 4.35pm, 1600m, T Clark, 57kg)Osmose gave us all such a huge thrill when deservedly winning the Group 3 Epona Stakes at Rosehill three weeks ago. She was there to be shot at in the home straight and she had a several determined challengers in pursuit, but her terrific attitude came to the fore and she simply wouldn’t be denied. She’s come through the outing in wonderful order and she's holding her condition brilliantly between runs. She's drawn slightly wide in barrier 11, but she's been better from the barriers this time in and Tim will be positive to get her rolling along into a forward position. She’s taking on seasoned and proven Group 1 fillies and mares under weight for age conditions in this contest, so we're under no illusions as to the task she faces. However, she’s got a terrific attitude and a fierce will to win which will take her a long way. She's dropping back in distance so we've put the blinkers back on to ensure she's razor sharp and focused, and with even luck in running we are hopeful that she will be fighting out the finish to gain some valuable Group 1 Black Type for you all.TROPICAL SQUALL (Race 9, 4.35pm, 1600m, A Hyeronimus, 54.5kg)Tropical Squall ran a super race in the Coolmore Classic at Randwick four weeks ago. She was beaten half a length by a couple of older mares, and it confirmed her status as a top-class race filly. She has an excellent constitution and loves her racing, and she has taken nice improvement from each of her starts so far this campaign. Adam will be positive from the barrier 3 to try and take luck out of the equation, and she always settles beautifully on the speed so we expect it to be the same here. She’s taking on seasoned and proven Group 1 fillies and mares under weight for age conditions in this contest, so we're under no illusions as to the task she faces. However, she's a top-class filly herself and if she shows her customary turn of foot at the top of the straight she will be very hard to run down. SATURDAY 13TH APRIL – NEWCASTLERail Position: RAIL - +3m EntireJUSTICE SERVED (Race 3, 1.15pm, 1500m, A McLucas, 59kg)Justice Served ran an excellent race on debut over a trip that we feel will prove to be short of his best. He has shown nice improvement in his subsequent track work, and he's tighter in condition. We expect him to relish the rise in distance to 1500 metres here, and the slightly steadier tempo of this longer race should enable him to get into a better rhythm. Amy will be positive from barrier 5 to get him rolling along into a prominent position, on or just behind the speed, and if he gets to the front hopefully he can set a tempo to suit himself. We were very pleased with his gallop in the lead up to the race on Tuesday morning and the blinkers appeared to have the desired effect, so he retains them for raceday to ensure he's entirely focused on the job at hand. We expect him to continue to thrive with the benefit of further race experience, but he’s open to plenty of improvement second-up and Amy takes a valuable 2kg off his back so we expect him to be right there at the finish. FLING (Race 6, 3pm, 1200m, A McLucas, 57.5kg)This is Fling’s first career start and she has been progressing nicely since his most recent trial at Randwick three weeks ago. She has two trials under his belt this time in and they have given her a good base level of fitness to work from ahead of this run. We were very pleased with her gallop in the lead up to this race on Tuesday morning, and she is nicely muscled at this stage in her preparation. The 1200 metres here is a good starting point and Amy will be positive from barrier 9 to get her rolling along into the lead, or close to it. We expect her to continue to improve as she gets deeper into the preparation and as she stretches out over further, but with that said she is fit enough to do herself justice and with even luck in running we expect her to be in it for a long way.SATURDAY 13TH APRIL - MORPHETTVILLERail Position: RAIL - +9m 1200m-W/Post; +5m Remainder EntireHARVEST MOON (Race 7, 3.57pm, 1800m, W Costin, 55kg)Harvest Moon has taken the journey to Morphettville in her stride. She has settled in extremely well to Stuart Gower’s stable and we have been delighted with her since her arrival. She ran a solid race second-up over 1400 metres and wasn't beaten far, but she's simply looking for further. She rises significantly in grade to a Stakes race here, but importantly it's against her own age and sex and we feel she's open to plenty of improvement third-up and over 1800 metres for the first time. Winona will position her where she's comfortable from barrier 6, depending on how much speed there is in the race, and Morphettville is an expansive track so hopefully this enables her to enjoy luck in running. As you would expect, this looks to be a competitive race on paper but she is in terrific shape and a great headspace so we are hopeful that she can be fighting out the finish.SATURDAY 14TH APRIL - PAKENHAMRail Position: RAIL - Out 12m Entire CircuitELEMENTRY (Race 1, 12.15pm, 3200m, R O’Sullivan, 69.5kg).Elementry gave us all such a huge thrill when winning in dominant fashion from the front in his second start over the obstacles. He jumped fantastically on that occasion and the further he went the better he was. He’s come through the run in wonderful order and remains in terrific shape ahead of this intended assignment. He's taking on other previous winners here so it is tougher, and they're older, more seasoned campaigners so whilst he only has four opponents they're no slouches. However, he is open to plenty of improvement on only his third run over hurdles and Ross will be positive to get him rolling along into a prominent position where he can set the fractions to suit himself from the front. This is a small yet competitive field on paper, but with even luck in running we think it will take a good one to run him down.
